Impressions of the special exhibition 2017

The renowned gallery KUNST IM WEST presented on 17 December 2017 in a special exhibition works by Zurich-based artist Sonja Matzinger.

The artist skilfully plays with light and design and creates precisely one-offs, which reach the limit of the respective basic medium as space-filling installations.

The illuminated exhibits emerged from their inner radiant source of creativity and show the artist's premise, especially in darker times, to give more light.

All paintings, sculptures, Christmas decorations, jewelery and lamps are available for purchase, prêt-à-porter objects, that enchant your house or even your garden.

Originally a trained florist Sonja later turned successfully to body building and managed one of Werner Kieser’s sport studios. Since 1976 she has been a masseuse in all top hotels of Zurich.

Nowadays she finds fulfilment through art, the design of elaborate gardens and as a professional masseuse for her long standing and also new clientele.
